Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is an agency of the United States
Department of Labor which administers the provisions of the Federal Mine Safety
and Health Act of 1977 (Mine Act) to enforce
compliance with mandatory safety
and health standards as a means to eliminate fatal accidents, to reduce the
frequency and severity of nonfatal accidents, to minimize health hazards,
and to
promote improved safety and health conditions in the nation's mines.[1] MSHA
carries out the mandates of the Mine Act at all mining and mineral processing
operations in the United States,
regardless of size, number of employees,
commodity mined, or method of extraction.

SAFETY
Safety is the single most important part of any
position at Great Western Painting. and Employees will:
= Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
= Where appropriate, use safety equipment as
required.
= Maintain equipment in good condition with all
installed safety guards in place.
= Report all injuries, no matter how minor, to their
manager.
= Encourage co-workers to work safely.
= Report unsafe acts, work practices, and conditions
to their manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES We provide include the following.
· Interpret
and select the correct application procedure to mix and apply coating material
in accordance with specifications and product data sheets to achieve the correct
wet and dry film thickness using conventional
and airless spray equipment, brush
or roller.
· Sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured products,
or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel,
glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer by performing the following duties.
Compute paint mixture formulas in accordance
with specifications and product data sheets.
· Apply Urethanes, Epoxies, Tank Linings, Acrylics,
Alkyds, Zinc Coatings, Enamels, and Lacquers.
· Verifies that parts or assemblies are properly
prepared prior to receiving material application
· Verifies parts or assemblies are completely coated
and the correct dry film thickness is achieved.
· Operate, clean, troubleshoot, and perform
maintenance on conventional and airless spray painting equipment.
· Operates overhead cranes and forklifts. Lifts,
· Operate sandblasting equipment to achieve the
correct blast profile.
· Direct and train others as required. Or provide
MSHA Certification
. Safety Meetings, On site , in shop, Daily, Weekly.
· Cleans grease and dirt from product.
· Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are
not to be coated.
· Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain
smooth surface.
· Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or
steel wool.
